It is with great anticipation that we kick off the 07/08 school year. Our staff is energized and is prepared to offer each student a premium education. They have boldly asserted that every student will learn at the highest levels. They also believe that there are no learning barriers that can't be overcome through good instruction and persistence. This year will truly be a year of incredible accomplishments.

When a staff promises that every student will learn, they must be prepared to answer three critical questions: First, precisely what will each student learn as a result of our instructions? Second, how will we identify students who are struggling to meet the key learning goals? Third, how will we adjust to ensure struggling students are provided additional time and support to assure learning? The staff of Graham Elementary has worked hard to answer these questions. Therefore, not only do we promise learning but we have a plan to assure it occurs. This is the secret to Graham's success and the rationale for our esteemed classification among local schools and districts.

As the principal of Graham Elementary, I commit to our families that your children will be served by the best-trained staff who use only the finest materials. No child will be left behind. OUR MISSION

We provide the opportunity for students to become responsible citizens, to contribute to their own economic well-being and to that of their family and community, and to enjoy productive and satisfying lives.

We use 'grade level content expectations' as guideposts to inform instruction and to monitor and assess student learning. As a result of our instruction, all students will demonstrate mastery of the Washington State Essential Academic Learning Requirements.

In addition, we assertively identify and support students who might require additional assistance to reach mastery.
